American business Magazine forbes has released the list of the highest paid Women in the music industry for the year 2016.
In the list Taylor Swift has been named as the highest paid with earnings of $170 million which is equivalent to kshs 17 billion. According to the magazine, most of her earnings came from her 1989 World Tour which smashed the Rolling Stones’ North American touring record, pulling in a quarter of a billion dollars. She is also said to have earned more from commercials with some of the world’s largest brands like Diet Coke and Apple.
British singer and songwriter Adele famous for her “Hello” hit comes second with an earning of $80.5 Million which is said to be the highest in her career. Her album”25″ was the bestseller of 2015.
Madonna is at the third position with an estimated earning of $76.5 Million. Katy Perry who was ranked as the most paid last year is at number 6
