Mombasa governor Hassan can now breathe a sigh of relief after the Ethics and anti corruption comission cleared him of graft. Joho who is aformer Kisauni Mp and assistant minister had been accused of allocating the Mwembe Tayari market to the proprietor of Nawal centre.
In a statement the director of public prosecution Keriako Tobiko said he had received Joho’s file from EACC with reccomendation that it be closed for lack of evidence.
Joho’s name was among the names of top government officials linked to graft and was handed over to the president EACC. The governor defended himself against the allegations arguing the allocation had been done even before taking office accusing his opponents of political witch hunt.
