400 tonnes of contraband sugar destroyed at the Mombasa port

400 tonnes of contraband sugar smuggled from Dubai was today afternoon destroyed at the Mombasa port.

The sugar branded ‘Kakiri Sugar’ and valued at sh 28 million was washed to the Indian ocean.

Industrialisation CS Aden Mohammed his Tourism counterpart Najib Balala and the Port Managing Director Catherine Muturi witnessed the exercise.

The sugar which had been declared as machine parts.
