The major story that is currently trending in the Coast Entertainment scene is that of the break up between Susumila and Kibibi Salim just 11 months after their marriage and one month into their first anniversary.
Kibibi who gave birth just two months ago was officially presented with a written note of divorce by Susumila on 6th of this month. Though it has still not yet gone through the final process of approval by the Chief Kadhi. This is however not the first relationship that Susumila has been into and left. He was first in a relationship with Ruth Jimmy and they had two kids before divorcing. They divorced in 2014.
Well in a bid to at least have an insight on what usually goes on in a relationship between two public figures Ommydallah.co.ke caught with one couple from Mombasa who have actually managed to stay together for a very long time despite the challenges that come with their status. Beryl Kawere and Johny Skani have been together for close to 10 years now and have been blessed with two kids.
The two actually met at an event back in 2007 where Beryl was a stage manager and Skani was one of the artists performing at the event together with his then group Skani flani.
“His crew was super rowdy but he was chilled out. That’s how i was attracted and after that its been up and down through this maze they call love” noted Beryl.
“Skani is my friend first before being a husband. We managed to learn each other, he knows me very well and i know him well. We are still friends, I usually think we are still dating” she added.
According to her one of the things that has managed to put them together for all this time is the respect they have for each other.
She asserted “Marriage should not be so serious. Have fun in your marriage. Live each day like you are meeting for the first time. Respect each other, support each other and most importantly communicate”.
“Am not perfect, i do crazy things but Skani knows that’s me and there are also things that he does that people will not get or understand but i know that’s him and we know each other that way”.
