“I have fought many battles but this is this most important one” says Omar

Mombasa County Senator and Wiper’s Gubernatorial Candidate Hassan Omar has said he will not be cowed by what he terms as “acts of hooliganism “.

Addressing members of the press at his office this morning Omar accused his rival Governor Hassan Joho of using “hooligans” to scare him away.

“Yesterday they were throwing stones and bottled at me,  let me tell you one thing,  I have had bullets fired today towards  me before so those stones can’t scare me away” Said Omar.

“I have fought many battles before but this one to liberate Mombasa is the most important one and no one is going to scare me.  We need to reclaim back county 001” he added.

His sentiments comes just a day after the NASA rally in Mama ngina grounds which was marred by violence and shouting match between his supporters and those of Joho.

Omar further argued that the fact that NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga did not endorse Joho at the rally is a clear indication of Joho ‘s failure in managing the County.

“Raila has been to many parts of the country and everywhere he went he endorsed different candidates but here he did not endorse him(Joho) because it is clear in his mind that Joho has failed in his leadership” argued Omar
